Welcome to the official website of the German Embassy School Tehran (DBST). Our school has a long-standing tradition of providing high-quality education to students from kindergarten to high school, and we are proud to continue this legacy today. At DBST, we are committed to maintaining the strong partnership between Germany and Iran through our educational programs. Whether a student studies the German or English IB curriculum, our school provides a challenging and stimulating learning environment that encourages students to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, and responsible global citizens.
Our German section offers a comprehensive education from kindergarten to grade 12 with experienced faculty, to provide our students with the skills and knowledge they need to graduate with the Abitur, the German equivalent of a high school diploma.
Our International section offers an inquiry-based learning, and interdisciplinary studies to provide our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in a globalized world. We offer the IB program for Early Years and Primary Years (PYP) and a Middle School program up to grade 8.
We are also committed to promoting cultural exchange and understanding between our students and the wider community. Through our extracurricular activities and community outreach programs, we encourage our students to develop a global perspective and become leaders in their respective fields.

Getting
around
Our state-of-the-art learning spaces, buildings, grounds, resources, and staff support extend the intellectual and creative capacity of our students. Our campus is located on The British Embassy Gardens in Tehran, and the built and natural environments reflect our learning philosophy and create space for young minds to flourish. We have an extensive bus network that makes transportation easy and convenient for families. On-site, we have a fully equipped Health Centre, Counsellors, and after-school clubs that provide immediate care and advice for students during the school day.
